Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still. Dorothea Lange
Natural light portrait that I did for an assignment. My friend, Valerie, was kind enough to model for me! Shot on a Canon 5D Mark II.

Portrait of my sister, Rachel. I borrowed this amazing vintage dress from a friend awhile ago and shot this in downtown Tulsa. The wind was being quite mischevious that day and Rachel kept having to pat her skirt down. It was very girlish and sweet, remeniscent of the era the dress was from.

This is a small product that I shot for my studio II class. A big thanks to my friend Katie Delso for teaching me how to use studio lights and for letting me use her Canon, since my Nikon is from the stone ages!

Photo that I took the other day outside Gardner’s Books. Just for funsies.

A portrait I did of my friend, Molly, at the Junebug studio against the “magic voodoo” wall. Natural lighting (from a doorway off to the right). Molly enjoys art that is heavily influenced by Japanese culture, so in this Headless Portrait she is wearing one of her favorite costumes. (Per my request)

envythyneighbor asked: i really like your headless project :)

Why thank you! I’ll have the full thing posted in a month or two, so be sure to check in from time to time!

Another Headless Portrait for my end-of-semester project. I call it: Dapper Dan. (Although it was actually my friend, Luke who posed for me)

Portrait that I did of a friend; she works at Starbucks (obviously).
My end-of-semester project is a book of “headless” portraits that will be called, “Anonymous”. This is the first of many! Let me know what you think.

This is a photo I took for a Color assignment at school. The point was to use a tetrad, meaning two sets of complimentary colors. I chose mustard yellow and a deep purple for the first set and mint green and a pale pink for the second.
